Silly Girl...

I know it's silly, but I had another one of my cards re-pinned today...<smile>...that makes 2.

What a fun journey :)

Thanks for joining me!

Final Dream Pop Days

Well, it's here...the last day of the Dream Pop campaign (although if you contact me we can still get the Dream Pop paper - I think for 5 days). Same with the May Stamp of the Month, Pinwheel!
While I still have plenty paper to make more projects...time is basically out.
I used the pink glossy striped Dream Pop cardstock for the background layer then used a strip from the gold birdcage patterned paper. And of course, more pinwheels. These I die cut on the Cricut and then stamped with Versamark and embossed!  I layered the pinwheels with a brad and added a saying from the zip strip. Enjoy today's card!

Dream Pop Father's Day Card

This card is one of the last Dream Pop cards I will post for the May Dream Pop Campaign.

It's a Father's Day Card, using the Perfect Fit-Frames 2 on a die cut made with the Cricut Artiste Cartridge. The Dad stamp is Studio G, stamped with Outdoor Denim ink.

I used Versamark Ink and Silver Embossing Powder on the stamped frame.    I LOVE being able to stamp the die cuts and the shapes match exactly to the stamps. That's just as much fun as using Spellbinders. :)

The green Dream Pop paper has a glossy raised diamond cut pattern that pairs nicely with the green and gray tree patterned paper. I added grey Baker's Twine (also available from CTMH) and it is ready!

 UPDATE:
I decided it was too plain...so I 'boy bling"-ed it up! (Square blingies from Michael's are apparently "boy bling" LOL!

What do you think?
I like it MUCH better!

Thanks for looking!

Dream Pop Ending

Dream Pop Paper will soon be a memory...
just 3 more days to order.

I LOVE the Dream Pop Paper, and still have quite a bit left to make more stunning cards. The paper itself drove my designs for these 2 lovely cards!

I used the Cricut Artiste Cartridge to cut the butterflies and the scalloped border on the second card is a ropy border also found on the Artiste cartridge.

These cards also feature a sneak peak of a stamp from the June SOTM, A Flowering Bunch, stamped on both with Sunset Exclusive Ink.

I layered the patterned paper on top of the dotted cardstock, and added glitter glue to the butterflys, some of the paper, and highlighted the stamp with the same.

The ribbon is actually a sheer light orange, although it looks a little bit yellow.

If you can't live without the Dream Pop paper, consider hosting a quick on-line party through my Online Business Address! I can help you get this LUSCIOUS paper before its gone!

Later Sk8r and Mojo Monday MOJO295

My First Mojo Monday entry...inspired by the gears I've been using all weekend.

Today's sketch gives a choice between round and square.  Because I've been using gears, I chose round. Go figure :).

So, using my Cricut Life's A Party cartridge, I cut a circle card. And then I used the CTMH Artiste cartridge to cut 4" gears in Outdoor Denim and Later Sk8r patterned paper.

The Father's Day and Dad stamps are non-CTMH. A brad and some grey baker's twine finished this off!

Thank you for looking. It's posted at

http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/
I really had fun and hope I stayed within the Mojo Monday rules...please let me know!

LaterSk8r Fun!!

This is what my table looks like right now...LOL!!

You can see that some cards with STARS are coming up...I cut a bunch out (yes, using the Artiste Cartridge), now just need to stick them down!

In fact, the card on the table is a sneak preview of my Father's Day card. I can't post it yet for obvious reasons.

I am still making Later Sk8r cards to build up my "man card" stash for the summer.

Here are a few of the latest!

The supplies are still the same as in the earlier Later Sk8r posts...I just put it all together differently.

I'm still really liking the gear borders I cut on the Cricut using the Artiste Cartridge, but on these cards, I stacked them to make the patterned paper pop out a little.

I stamped the white gear with Lagoon Ink and a gear from the In Gear set.

The Birthday sentiments on both cards are from the Perfect Fit-Birthday set.

The Outdoor Denim gear is stamped with Versamark ink, and heat-embossed with White embossing power.

Hope you are loving this paper as much as I have been!

11 cards. Whew.

I cut a bunch of different sized gears using the Artiste Cartridge, and stamped the matching ones in Lagoon ink, using the stamps from the MyAcrylix In Gear set. The little dots from the centers make great embellishments.

The Birthday sentiment is from Perfect Fit-Birthday.
and this paper is just GREAT for masculine cards!

Later Sk8r Birthday

Later Sk8r Birthday

Made this great card yesterday!
I pinned the idea for this card from Bethany Rielage, and then CASE'd it. A link to her blog is included below so that she receives the credit.

I used the following materials:

PaperLater Sk8r, Lagoon, Pear, Outdoor Denim, White Daisy (all available in the Later Sk8r paper pack)
Stamp:  Perfect Fit-Birthday
Ink:  Lagoon, Outdoor Denim
Cricut:  Artiste Cartridge

I inked the card base made of White Daisy with Outdoor Denim ink by pressing the card edges on the ink pad. Then layered lagoon and inked white daisy onto the card. I cut a stack of gears at 2" and 2-1/2" from the patterned papers, and just played with the right combination til it looked "right".

The circle stack sizes start with 1" circle stamped with a birthday sentiment onto White Daisy, a Pear 1-1/4" gear, circles from 1-1/4", 1-1/2", 1-3/4", and a 2" gear cut from Lagoon.

The Artiste cartridge makes shapes so easy...and I have not even begun to explore the possibilities. Look at those gears! I could never have cut those out, and it was so fast. Much easier than separate dies. Although it's a big price tag, the collection gives you 3 stamp sets and some dimensional shapes, so it's comparable to buying all of the items at a discount.

I LOVE her card!  And I love mine, too :).  Thank you for the inspiration!

Later Sk8r B&T Duos Papers

I pulled out my Later Sk8r papers and made two great birthday cards for boys. With 7 nephews & 4 grandsons, I always need "man cards". Well, young men & boys, anyway.

First, I cut out several different gear shapes & sizes using the exclusive CTMH Cricut Artiste Cartridge.

The In Gear set coordinates with the Gears in Accent 3, at 1-3/4". I cut several of those in White, Pear and Lagoon. Then I cut a lot of 2" gears and some 1" and

There is a great gear border on page 39, as well, using Accent 4+Shift.

I set the border for 1-1/4 inch, and it comes out at approximately 7-1/2" long.  I was able to use one piece at 4" and still use the 3-1/2 piece on a separate card.
The card uses the following CTMH supplies:

includes:
6 – 12" × 12" Cardstock Sheets (2 Outdoor Denim, 2 Slate, 1 Pear, 1 Whisper)
6 – 12" × 12" B&T Duos® Papers (2 each of 3 double-sided designs)

MyAcrylix Set:  In Gear [B1415]

This card uses a B&T duo sheet as the background, and a piece of Lagoon cardstock gear border.

The Birthday stamp is from the CTMH MyAcrylix Perfect Fit Birthday set, which I punched out with a 1-1/4 circle punch and laid over the gears.

I just added a little turqoise ribbon (nothing too frilly) and some clear epoxy bubbles as accents.

Then I moved on the to next card. DH was watching TV...so I had plenty of time tonight :)

I dry embossed a piece of Pear cardstock with a diamond plate dry embossing folder [Tim Holtz] for my second card and added the patterned zip strip from a B&T Duo sheet.

By stacking the gear border and several gears, I achieved some more texture and topped them with a die cut gear stamped in Lagoon ink with a gear from the In Gear MyAcrylix set.

I stamped Happy Birthday from the Perfect Fit Birthday set with Lagoon ink right on the white card base.

Later Sk8r is available at my CTMH Online Business Address -- just click on the Shop link on the toolbar to go right there.  Ordering online is quick and easy and ships right to you!

More and More Cards!

The card for Card A is actually CTMH Cotton Candy Cardstock, with Dream Pop cardstock in the background.  The large Pinwheel was cut out with the Cricut Artiste Cartridge and the smaller one layered on top is stamped with the Pinwheel CTMH Stamp of the Month in Cotton Candy Exclusive Ink.  The sentiment is from the CTMH Casual Expressions MyAcrylix set, also stamped with Cotton Candy.  A bright yellow ribbon for the pinwheel stick and it's done!  My niece #2 and I made this one! It was so much fun!
Card B is also Dream Pop paper, and uses the same sentiment.  But on this one, the sentiment is layered with the glossy pink Dream Pop cardstock. It has a glossy raised stripe, and is also used on the punched scalloped border.  A little sheer pink and bright yellow ribbon add a color pop. Niece #3 wanted the focal point of this card to be the actual design of the paper, and I think the border, ribbon and sentiment  set it off perfectly. Three glittery gems, which come with the Chantilly Workshop on the Go finish this adorable card!

Supplies are available by ordering at my Online Business Address: at  http://DawnFrancis.ctmh.com.

Stay tuned for more cards!!!

Cardmaking Chantilly - 2

More of our beautiful Chantilly paper cards!
This one was a team effort!

We used the Pink Glossy Solid Dream Pop paper for the pointed border (Martha Stewart punch). The sentiment is from the CTMH My Acrylix Perfect Fit-Birthday Set, stamped in Cotton Candy and punched out using a 1 1/4 circle punch, layered with a 1 1/2 circle punch on the Chantilly duo paper, using the green patterned side.

The Chantilly Workshop includes some pink glitter gems that add just the right sparkly bling to this card!

Some ruched ribbon and a sheer ribbon bow are the finishing touches!

Cardmaking Day....

Had a great day making cards with my friends. We made some beautiful Chantilly paper cards!

This one by SC, uses a border punch on the right edge and a strip of CTMH Cotton Candy cardstock wrapped with a sheer pink ribbon.  The sentiment is from the CTMH My Acrylix Set - Card Chatter - Birthday, stamped in Cotton Candy Exclusive Ink and cut into a pennant. We didn't layer under the pink cardstock strip, so had to cut an angle and butt the sentiment strip up against the strip. It still worked beautifully!

Super Invitations

I cased a design for a 5th Birthday -- a Superhero party! I also had a 2nd design as a sample. Birthday Boy wanted both! So with the help of DH & my friends, we put 20 together. The stamps are from a retired CTMH set, but it was a lot of fun!

Dream Pop & Pinwheel

Graduation Card A

CTMH Dream Pop Paper and the May CTMH SOTM!

These 2 products are made for each other!

The pinwheels are fun to work with and the glossy Dream Pop papers make excellent backgrounds!
Card A is a stack of cute pinwheels, held together with a glitter brad. The top pinwheel is stamped using Cotton Candy Exclusive Inks stamp pad with the small pinwheel in the MyAcrylix May Stamp of the Month - Pinwheel. I cut off the patterned strip [the Zip Strip] from a double-sided sheet and added it along the bottom of the card, then added an black heat-embossed non-CTMH sentiment.

Graduation Card B
For Card B, the look is layered, too! The background is the same glossy woodgrain Dream Pop paper as in Card A. (I think I like it a little bit) I cut this year's graduating class number using the Cricut Artiste cartridge, set at 1". The pinwheels are cut from DreamPop duos papers using the Artiste Cartridge. The sentiment is from the MyAcrylix Casual Expressions set, stamped on CTMH White Daisy cardstock, and cut into a pennant, before mounting on a strip of CTMH Slate cardstock, also cut into a pennant shape.

Pinwheel Congrats!

At long last another pinwheel card! Pinwheel is the May Stamp of the month! I mixed it up with Dream Pop paper. The outside of the pinwheel is cut using the Cricut Artiste cartridge (exclusive to CTMH). The inner piece is stamped with Cotton Candy ink, and attached with a pink glitter brad!!! Add A ribbon stem, a graduate sentiment and viola!

Dream Pop

Fun Dream Pop Paper
When the Dream Pop paper arrived, I had to take it out and look...and here they are...6 two-sided patterned papers, and 12 glossy embossed solids. I am still creating....

More Dream Pop...

I used the Cricut CTMH Artiste cartridge to cut different sized pinwheels from my Dream Pop paper. The 2" and 2-3/4" pinwheels are the correct size for the May SOTM, Pinwheel. The sentiment on this card is from the top strip of the Dream Pop patterned paper.
Once you have several different patterns cut they are easy to assemble!
A little Baker's Twine and buttons finished this card!
Contact me to get your fun Dream Pop paper!

Dream Pop Cards

I spent Friday & Saturday nights playing with my Dream Pop paper. My challenge was using the Cricut, and folding the pleated circles. The CTMH Artiste cartridge has several different patterns for pleated circles.  I took my time planning because I didn't want to waste any luscious paper! I was inspired by a Chantilly card created by Pamela O'Connor. I also used the sentiment from the April SOTM and the Cotton Candy exclusive inks stamp pad.

The background paper already has the word strip printed on it so that came out well, and I just added some grey ribbon and some buttons!
