WOYWW 237 - Something Different

So What's on My Workdesk this Wednesday?? 

Usually I'm making cards,  but right now I have a scrapbook layout I am putting together to show off at a craft fair this Sunday. (I'm a little behind as it was originally last Saturday and was re-scheduled due to an ice and snow storm.)(like Julia, am having trouble doing it all) Christmas Cards are in the mail today...LOL.

I used CTMH Sparkle and Shine papers and the coordinating dimensional elements. I think I will stamp down the side of the right hand page on the Juniper cardstock. Due to the time crunch I cannot take credit for the design...I am "scraplifting" from Pinterest.  Cute, though!

Sparkle & Shine Decor

This awesome decoration uses the papers in the Sparkle & Shine paper pack!
I sanded some wooden letters from Michael's and sprayed them with white primer. Then I painted them lightly with off - white acrylic paint.
I cut sections of paper and trimmed them close to the edge of the letters. I used ModPodge as glue, then sealed them with Mod-Podge as well!
After the letters dried again,  I added some embellishments and a little nylon netting to dress it up and they look fabulous on the bookshelf!

If I could finish my Christmas cards, I will move on to experimenting with this "special" stamp set. I can think of some really cute scrapbook layouts with my nieces and nephews...

Let Your Light Shine

This card was turned out perfect to celebrate my father's ordination.
I used the November SOTM, Illuminate, combined with Laughing Lola and Gypsy paper. The stamp set includes the sentiment.
The lantern and pole are white heat-embossed. I added the shining  light using a pale yellow embossing powder I had on hand.
The paisley stamp is also heat - embossed in black. It's the Paisley Perfect set.  Not too frilly, but perfect!

Niece's Birthday

This awesome card was for my 3-yr-old niece. She is a princess and she LOVES purple! 

The stamp set is a retired CTMH set...Princess Wings...so I thought it would be okay to post it. This is one of the sets I bought (WITH my niece in mind) the day I joined as a consultant in April. I thought this set  went well with the butterflies! 

The Butterfly Kisses paper is by the Paper Studio.  The tag is stamped in Gypsy Exclusive Ink, then I heat-embossed Princess with black embossing powder a couple of days later after the Gypsy ink dried. I layered it with Gypsy paper, and I added glitter glue on the edges.

The whole card, tied with a sheer ribbon is pretty and purple!
